PalUp Monetization Policies

PalUp offers tools that let creators monetize their AI Assistant and content. If you’re monetizing on PalUp, it’s important that you follow PalUp Monetization Policies, Platform Guidelines, and Terms of Service.

These policies apply to anyone participating or applying for the PalUp Monetization Program. 

Program Eligibility and Review Standards

You must be 18 years and older to participate in the monetization program. Currently, this program is only available in the United States. Accounts must satisfy the relevant entry criteria to be eligible for our monetization program. A violation of our policies, guidelines and terms may result in temporary restriction of the monetization program, and repeated violations will lead to a permanent restriction or an account ban.

In order to participate in the monetization program on PalUp, your content must be original, authentic, and does not involve unauthorized third-party content that could lead to copyright violations or platform abuse. Our reviewers will check your account and AI Assistant against our terms and policies. Our reviewers may focus on your AI Assistant’s:

• Name
• Role or Profession
• Appearance
• Background information
• Uploaded website links, documents and social media links

Compliance with PalUp Polices and Guidelines

Follow the PalUp Platform Guidelines

These guidelines help to ensure that PalUp remains a great platform for users, creators and advertisers. Anyone and any AI Assistants you create on PalUp needs to follow all our Platform Guidelines. AI Assistants and accounts that violate PalUp's Guidelines are not eligible for monetization and will be removed from PalUp.

Follow our Program Policies

We want to reward creators who focus on fostering engagement with their followers by creating original AI AI Assistants. Our goal is to support creators who bring unique, authentic content to the platform and encourage meaningful connections with their audience.

If your account is not verified by connecting to your TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram account, the AI Assistants you create will not be eligible for monetization. This is to prevent any potential copyright infringement and ensure that only verified accounts are allowed to generate revenue.

We will also review the videos and posts from social channels you've connected to ensure that the content is original and not reused or a collection of other people's content. If we find that your social channels contain reused content or are primarily made up of other creators' work, monetization will be removed from your PalUp account.

Creator Integrity

We expect creators in the PalUp Monetization Program to be who they say they are and not misrepresent themselves by manipulating their on-platform activity or engaging in deceptive practices.

Creators should also not mislead users or PalUp by participating in financially abusive behaviour, such as using our monetization features for illegal, fraudulent or deceptive transactions. If you violate this policy, we may remove you from the PalUp Monetization Program or terminate your channels.

Quality Principles for Minors

We want to ensure that the AI Assistants and the content they generate are appropriate for minors. Here are some examples of AI Assistant types that, while not inherently harmful, may not be suitable for kids:

• Wine Expert – Discussing wine pairings, alcohol types, and tasting notes.
• Health Expert – Discussing advanced medical procedures, health supplements, or mental health topics that require adult understanding.
• Movie Expert – Discussing mature or violent films, horror genres, or films with explicit content (e.g., R-rated movies).

Cancellations, Terminations and Refunds for Memberships Subscriptions

If a membership subscriber requests a refund, PalUp has sole discretion as to the validity of that claim. When we grant refunds to subscribers, your share is deducted from your PalUp account to pay back the refunded subscribers. Learn about PalUp's refund policy in the Terms of Service.

If a membership subscription is terminated due to any of the reasons below, all active paying members may get a refund of their last payment:

• Termination by the account holder
• Removal from the PalUp Monetization Program
• Due to abuse or fraud
• Breach of our terms or policies

What happens when your AI Assistant status is set to private

Membership subscriptions will be canceled if your AI Assistant has been reported or removed, set to private, found in violation of PalUp monetization policies.

When your AI Assistant is set to private, members immediately lose access to perks and the ability to interact with your AI Assistant. Their monthly payments will pause, and their subscription will be canceled. Additionally, the "Subscribe" button will be removed from your AI Assistant’s chat room.

How We Enforce PalUp Monetization Policies

Anyone who earns money on PalUp must follow PalUp's Monetization Policies. If you violate any of our policies, PalUp may take any of the actions outlined below. We'll inform you in writing by email or in product when we have to enforce our policies. We will also let you know what options are available to you.

Withhold, adjust, charge back or offset earnings or payment 

We may withhold or adjust any of your earnings associated with violations of the PalUp Monetization Policies. 

For any such violations, we need some time to investigate whether the earnings need to be withheld, adjusted or offset. This may result in payment delays of up to 90 days or until we've resolved any third-party rights disputes.

If your channel is terminated or suspended from the PalUp Monetization Program, you're no longer entitled to earn any revenue. PalUp may also withhold earnings to refund subscribers for purchases where appropriate and possible.

We'll inform you in writing by email or in product when we have to enforce our policies. We will also let you know what options are available to you.

Suspend your participation in the PalUp Monetization Program

Violation of our PalUp Monetization Policies may result in monetization being suspended or permanently disabled on all or any of your accounts. If it's determined that your account is no longer eligible for monetization, your accounts may lose access to all monetization tools and features associated with the PalUp Monetization Program. 

Suspend or even terminate your PalUp account 

In certain circumstances, we may need to terminate an account, or disable a user's access to the service in order to protect the integrity of the platform or protect our users from harm.
